The Minnesota Design Center (MDC) is an emerging design and research-based institution within the University of Minnesota’s College of Design that explores how an integrated urban design approach can help make metropolitan communities more livable and sustainable. Using the Twin Cities area as a laboratory, the MDC’s teaching, research and outreach programs bring university faculty and graduate students together to participate in critical design and research investigations of issues that make livable and sustainable cities possible.
