The University of Minnesota is hosting its second annual Public Engagement Day. This event grew out of prior celebrations honoring Campus Community Partnerships and the Outstanding Community Service Awards/Josie R. Johnson Human Rights and Social Justice Award dinner.
The goals for this day of engagement include the following:
- To provide a deeper understanding of what public engagement means both to the university and its community partners
- To learn from examples of community and university work about the many dimensions of public engagement
- To inspire interest and cultivate new relationships.
