Public Engagement Day

RELEVANCE & RESULTS

Tuesday, April 22ND, 2008 in Coffman Memorial Union

Twin Cities Campus, (East Bank)

Rochester, Morris, Duluth, and Crookston also have events this year, please see the link above to the coordinate campuses for more details.

The University of Minnesota is hosting its second annual Public Engagement Day.  This event grew out of prior celebrations honoring Campus Community Partnerships and the Outstanding Community Service Awards/Josie R. Johnson Human Rights and Social Justice Award dinner.

The goals for this day of engagement include the following:

  1. To provide a deeper understanding of what public engagement means both to the university and its community partners
  2. To learn from examples of community and university work about the many dimensions of public engagement
  3. To inspire interest and cultivate new relationships.
